The Transport Professionals Federation of India was founded in 2023 to unite the individuals and enterprises behind India's freight and passenger movement — fleet operators, customs and freight-forwarding professionals, warehousing managers, rail and port logistics staff, and the technology teams now digitising the sector.
Transport in India has historically been organised around its modes — road, rail, air, sea — each with its own associations, licensing bodies, and trade groups. TPFI's premise is simple: the person planning a shipment doesn't think in modes, they think in routes. A federation that reflects that reality can represent the profession more completely than any single-mode body could alone.

Who runs the federation
TPFI is governed by an elected executive council and state chapter chairs, drawn from member organisations across all five verticals.
Working alongside India's logistics reform agenda
